  • Eltel continues its tradition to build electrification in Mozambique


    Eltel continues its long tradition to build electrification projects in Mozambique. The company has signed a EUR 27 million contract with the Danish Aarsleff – Seth J.V. I/S for a transmission line project. Final customer is Electricidade de Mozambique (EdM).

    Lars Täuber has been appointed as the new Director of the Fixed Telecom business at Eltel in Sweden. The appointment complements Eltel’s top management resources and experience in managing successful service business.

  • Eltel and Umoe planned to merge their telecom businesses in Norway


    Eltel and Umoe, owner of Sönnico Tele AS, have agreed to investigate the possibility to merge their respective telecom businesses within Fixed and Mobile in Norway, and have therefore decided to ask the Norwegian Competition Authority to review a possible combination of these units into a jointly owned company. The jointly owned company would create a new entity with about 1.200 employees and a turnover of about 1.500 million Norwegian crowns.

  • Eltel wins its biggest contract to date


    Eltel wins its biggest contract ever to build electricity networks in Zambia. The contract is valued at 110 million euros and will take two years to complete from the beginning of 2014. The project consists of a regional power network in the North-Western Province of the country and its connection to the national grid.

  • Eltel wins transmission system contracts of Kraftnät Åland


    Eltel in Finland signed two contracts with Kraftnät Åland in the beginning of December. A new 110/45kV km transmission line of 11 km and two new 110 kV substations with extensions of existing substations are to be completed by September 2015. Total value of the contracts is about EUR 7 million.
