20 people offered employment with Eltel
Through an agreement which came into effect January 1, 2011, Eltel has been trusted to take charge of Fortum's preparation and planning resources in Stockholm, Dalarna and Hälsingland. The agreement is for two years and means that Eltel gains greater commitment in the projects of Fortum. This in turn means that Eltel will perform turnkey projects involving planning, design and execution.
- Fortum's customers have high demands on electricity supply security and it is and will continue to be our focus area. The companies we now have signed agreements with have the field services as its core business and are constantly working to develop them to be at the forefront. There will also be very competent and experienced personnel who are now moving from us that can contribute strongly. Therefore, we believe that this solution is the best for our customers, "says Mats Ahlberg, CEO, Fortum Distribution.
Eltel has also been trusted to take over Fortum’s all resources involved in voltage, usually called in the industry as AMS or live work. The agreement is for four years with an option for another two years. This agreement means that Eltel will perform much of Fortum's need for these services throughout Sweden. Eltel will through this contract be one of the few companies in Sweden to have isolated sky lifts where you have the opportunity to carry out projects without disconnecting the voltage. By offering Fortum and other customers AMS services Eltel takes another major step in developing and refining its offerings in electricity.
The contracts include a total of about 20 people who all will be offered employment with Eltel.
- Eltel’s investment within Electricity started about four years ago and with these two contracts we can continue to offer our customers service in several places in the country and especially in the larger projects. We welcome our new employees, said Casimir Lindholm, CEO, Eltel in Sweden.
