• Change in Eltel’s Power Transmission BU

  After 10 years as president for Eltel’s business unit Power Transmission Martin Dahlgren has decided to step down and make room for a new leader. Fredrik Menander, today in charge of Transmission International, will take over the role as President of BU Transmission this summer. Lars Hammarstedt will become the new Director of Transmission International.

  

• Eltel starts to execute National Grid projects in UK in JV with Carillion

  Eltel expands to UK – National Grid has awarded a framework agreement with potential value of £500m for the delivery of part of their 400 kV electricity transmission network upgrade programme. A joint venture formed between Eltel Networks and Carillion has signed an agreement with National Grid for the delivery of National Grid 400kV Overhead Upgrade Programme.

  

• Eltel enters the Ukrainian Power Transmission market

  Eltel has won two orders, totally worth of EUR 15 million, from the Ukraine National Power Company, Ukrenergo. The orders consist rehabilitation of two high voltage substations in the Donbas Power Grid. The projects are financed by the World Bank.

  

• Eltel Group breaks the EUR 1 billion sales barrier

  In 2011, Eltel Group passed EUR 1 billion in sales – with stable improvements in both earnings and cash flow. Over the last 10 years, Eltel has developed into a well recognised service company with competitiveness originating from people motivation and industry-leading competencies. A new specialised organization with a focus on operational efficiency and long-term customer relationships will continue to strengthen Eltel’s market position in going forward. This is also supported by the short-term outlook of market conditions, which continue to look positive also in 2012.

  

• Fingrid trusts Eltel with another contract

  Eltel Transmission Finland and Fingrid have signed on 31.10.2011 a contract on transmission grid construction works in Nurmijärvi-Hyvinkää-Hikiä area. This turnkey project consists of building a new 400 kV transmission line between Hikiä and Hyvinkää, modification of existing 400 kV Espoo-Hyvinkää line and renewal of the 110 kV transmission line between Hikiä and Nurmijärvi substations. The project will be completed in autumn 2013
