Command and control system for the Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter unit.
Eltel Networks Infranet AB has, with their partner Thales, signed a contract for a command and control system with the Swedish Armed Forces. The contract involves system design, integration and delivery of a brand new system. Each company's unique skills and resources complemented each other well to make an attractive offer that proved to be the winning concept for the Swedish Armed Forces.
The system will be used by the Armed Forces from the year 2014 and at the same time be integrated with earlier command and control systems delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces and the Nordic Battle Group. Eltel Networks is responsible for the design, integration, installation and delivery of functional units in the system which represents nearly all hardware under the contract. The system consists of a large number of functional boxes in which radio and computer equipment are installed. Thales is the prime contractor with the customer and will as such make the overall system design.
